My Journey 

 

​I have a genuine love for living in other countries and exploring different cultures. Growing up, my dad was an international pilot, my family and I had the privilege of living in different countries.  My experiences of travelling through airports, sleeping in hotels, and living in many parts of the world created my passion for travel and to explore. ​​

 

I began working on a Dutch cruise ship where I was introduced to languages, cultures and diversity.  I learned Dutch, Indonesian, Tagalong, along with other languages while onboard the ship. When my sea legs returned to land, I decided to study aviation and get my flight attendant wings. ​After graduation, I moved to Holland to learn about my family's background. While I waited for news on my application for a flight attendant position with Emirates Airline in the Middle East. ​

 

I got the flight attendant job and moved to Dubai, UAE. Coming from Holland where there is so much history, everything was brand new there, from the buildings & highways, to the palm tree shaped islands & gorgeous hotels, to the indoor ski slopes & the shopping malls -  it really was spectacular!  What intrigued me the most however was the people who worked there. It was their dedication to come to work everyday in the scorching heat to build this incredible city while providing for their families back in their home countries, like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh. Life was very different in the middle East, I feel honored to have experienced the language, the culture and the people.

 

Perhaps it was while living in Holland and Dubai that I felt I wanted to do more for people who are living in a foreign country. Rise High Resources believes in creating a personal connection by sharing our experiences together.  My commitment to teaching and supporting you on your journey.  I want to give the opportunity for others to learn English in a comfortable and safe environment while reaching for the life you want.
